I trained at Sussex Downs College (now East Sussex College) and at Wealden College of Counselling & Psychotherapy.

For three years now, I have been volunteering my services - as a Bereavement Support Volunteer at St Wilfrid's Hospice in Eastbourne and as a generic counsellor at the low cost counselling agency Counselling Plus in Hastings. I have also volunteered at Eastbourne Survivors (supporting adult survivors of sexual abuse in childhood), assisting the facilitators of weekly group meetings.

A Humanistic, Integrative Counsellor, I believe you are the expert on you - and that my role is to facilitate a non-judgemental, empathetic space where you can explore how you got to where you are.

It also means that I draw on various therapeutic methods (Person-centred Approach, Transactional Analysis and Gestalt Therapy), depending on what works best for you and your situation.

I’m a Registered Member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) – Register number: 389816.

In accordance with ethical practice, I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework. I also hold professional liability insurance and receive regular counselling supervision.

Professional development is important to me and I strive to stay up to date with research and developments in the world of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Recent training I have undertaken includes:

  • Working with Trauma, Joanna Beazley Richards, Wealden College, Crowborough

  • Telehealth Training - Practising Counselling Online, Kate Anthony, online
